ALGEBRA II FOUNDATIONS SYLLABUS — 2024-2025

INSTRUCTOR: Mr. Conte LOCATION: Rm 320

CLASS EXPECTATIONS:

          • The expectation is that this classroom will be a Safe and Professional Learning Environment at all times. Any unsafe behavior will result in the student’s immediate removal from the classroom and will be followed up with school administration. Unprofessional behaviors (disrespectful, off-topic, interfering with the learning of others) will be addressed within the classroom but may lead to removal if the behavior persists.

GRADING POLICY:

          • Participation: 15%
            • 3 points available per class: 1 point for arriving on time and following arrival procedures, 1 point for staying safe and professional during class, and 1 point for turning in an end of class “exit ticket” that has been seriously attempted. Unexcused absences and being asked to leave the classroom will result in a 0/3 score for that class period.
          • Section/Topic Quizzes and Projects: 30%
          • Final exam: 10%
          • Midterm exam: 10%
          • Unit Tests: 30%
          • Homework: 5%
